Responsible growing
Concrete measures, measurable progress
Responsible growing has a practical meaning at Bac Orchids. We combine energy from residual heat and solar panels with biological crop protection. This allows us to reduce our impact step by step, without making claims larger than the measures themselves.
Residual heat for the greenhouses
We use residual heat to warm our greenhouses, putting energy to work that would otherwise be lost.
700 solar panels
Seven hundred solar panels generate electricity at the nursery. The figure makes the measure clear and verifiable.
Biological crop protection
In the greenhouse, beneficial insects form part of our crop-protection approach. According to our company history, this has reduced the use of chemical agents by 95% since 2016.
Continuing to improve
